The freely elected, democratic Iraqi Parliament is currently set to vote on evicting the US military from Iraq. The US doesnt want to leave, that has never been the intention, understanding this, they knew there would be a conflict, because Iraq would eventually militarily push back on them. General Soleimani is the hands down strategic leader that they would have to counter, a man who in a few short years, eradicated ISIS and Al-Qaeda out of Iraq and led insurgencies in Syria to do the same. He was the person that gave Iranians peace of mind from the threat of Al-Qaeda from the Eastern borders with Afghanistan and the threat of ISIS and Al-Qaeda from the Western borders. Iraq's stability was forged by the alliances he created and the regional structuring he designed, making him a popular person in Iran and in the neighboring countries.
The US doesnt want peace in the middle east, it is not in their objective nor falls in line with its benefit factors. Money is in war and destabilization. The US is not interested in a democratic society if it can not control it. The western media will use every method to paint General Soleimani as a brutal person, a killer, etc. They will repeat, over and over again, how he is responsible for the "death of hundreds if not thousands of Americans". They will repeat this in ways, that will make a proponent believe the lies. This is the American and Western Media Machine, they can sway the masses to feel hate and love instantaneously for anyone. In this case they will make General Soleimani their next villein.
When media references, attacks which he was planning, they are simply acknowledging that they would presume conflict between the two sides and as the chief commander of t
he Iranian side he would be responsible. This is the obvious, spun into a complex word pattern to give the impression of facts and truth, when in reality they are attempting to turn him into a villain.
General Soleimani was a life time soldier and understood the blood and pain of war, his initial and constant instinct was to use any form of aggression as a final means and with that he earned the respect of his soldiers and the families he vowed to send them home to, but essentially the US's end game wants and searches for blood, so it must be met, at one point or another, better to do it with your best and the US understood that too, Colonization's game plan is well implanted in their strategic blood as is the fight for survival for others.
In conclusion, the US doesnt want to leave Iraq and will eventually expand into Iran if not deterred, this is the first step to achieving that agenda. This is what it has been called, an assassination and a declaration of war on a sovereign country.
